Singer Island lies north of the Lake Worth Inlet, reached from Riviera Beach on the mainland. It is a barrier island of oceanfront condominium towers and resorts, with John D. MacArthur Beach State Park occupying the northern end and Palm Beach Shores sitting at the southern tip. The feel is residential and low-key compared with the island to the south.
From Miami International the drive is about 78 miles and takes 85 to 115 minutes, making it one of the longer runs on this route. Drivers stay on I-95 north past West Palm Beach and exit at Blue Heron Boulevard, then east across the bridge onto the island. The distance is mostly highway, so the estimate holds reasonably well outside the afternoon peak.
The fare is fixed from $129 per vehicle and includes waiting time at MIA, tolls, airport parking and the arrivals meet and greet. On a journey approaching two hours, the difference between a fixed quote and a metered fare is substantial, and it is the reason most repeat travelers on this stretch book ahead.
Condominium towers dominate here and most have security gates with their own procedures. Give the building name and unit at booking so the driver can be cleared at the gate rather than parked outside it. If you are heading for the state park or the marina at Palm Beach Shores instead, say so; those are different approaches from the bridge.
